CrossFit Open at 7K was too much fun

For 5 consecutive Fridays starting mid February, we played the game – the CrossFit Open games at the box. With hard RX’s in the hard workouts, the CrossFit programming had scaling and modifications to suit most people with deeper mods for everybody so we all can do the workout and be a part of a community of people for a better fitness experience.

While nobody moved on to the CrossFit qualifiers for the games, 7K CrossFit’s goal was to create an environment to challenge our athletes to do their best and see if they can achieve things they didn’t know they could. For instance, Steve Ellis did his first Muscle Up during the workout – something he’s been trying to do for several years. When our friends are cheering us on, we tend to succeed a little further than expected.

For the last Friday, 7K hosted street tacos, drinks and the super rad Big Bear Photobus for an after-WOD party that night. What kind of a gym does this?!
